Netscape NavigatorTM to include Macromedia Flash
Netscape Communications Corporation and Macromedia, Inc. announced the inclusion of Macromedia Flash in the next version of Netscape Navigator 4.X. This marks the first time Netscape has included a third-party product in its main browser installation package.
Marc Andreessen, executive vice president of products at Netscape. "As an avid user of Flash, I can attest that including the Flash Player in Navigator will bring an exciting new dimension to the web experience."

New Meta Tag Survey [ 6/8/98 ]
The numbers are in ... of 31,000 web sites surveyed only 30% use meta tags. What does this mean and why should you care? The survey by SiteMetrics Corp showed 70% of web sites surveyed were missing Meta Tags. Meta Tags are encoded into a web site to enhance search results for some of the most popular search engines. If you site is not utilizing meta tags (both keyword and description), search results for your site may suffer.
Using Meta Tag keyword encoding can make a difference in the prioritizing of search results. Meta Tag descriptions will impact the description that search engines return on those keywords.
